We booked Canterbury Marquees for our wedding in September 2015 to go in the grounds of our local village hall as we wanted something a bit different and special. We went with Canterbury Marquees as they were the best price for what we wanted but would recommend them on the service more than the pricing now! The marquee was put up a couple of days before, all in good time for our big day. It looked great once all up with drapes and chandeliers and even better once we'd decorated, it couldn't have been more perfect.

We hired a marquee from Canterbury Marquees for our summer wedding 2015. We found Canterbury Marquees really good value, they were happy to answer the numerous questions I emailed through in the lead up to our wedding and happily dealt with all the requests we had – even some last minute changes.

They were always quick getting back to us and took the time to come out to the venue and also to meet up with us to check exactly what we wanted. They were great on the days leading up to and after the wedding setting up the marquee and were very patient with us milling around them! When our son and daughter-in-law telephoned from Australia to say they were returning to the UK to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary, and that they would like the party to be at my home, we were initially filled with dread.
Numbers around 40 to 50 were being bandied about, and we had no idea where we would put them all. Then came Canterbury Marquees to the rescue, and problem solved! The marquee nearly filled our small garden, but under the watchful eye of owner, Christian, it proved to be wonderful.
The team were helpful in selecting what was best for our needs; very punctual in all they promised; efficient on the day; and it looked a treat. We found it fitted the bill in every aspect, and cannot speak too highly of the quality of service we received... and all done at a very competitive price!

An 18th birthday party has its concerns but we made the right decision, a marquee in the garden, so simple and so effective. For our daughter's 21st we will definitely ask Canterbury Marquees to come back.

Canterbury Marquees provided the marquee for our "Changing Coast at Margate" event, the staff were particularly helpful both on the day itself and during the months of preparation which led up to the event. Assistance included a useful site visit with myself, the provision of a proposed lay out (map), meeting with Thanet District Council on the site and preparation of a risk assessment.
In addition to this Canterbury Marquees were able to come up with an innovative solution to a problem at the site; no drill holes were available or could be made on The Piazza to secure the marquee; the company's proposal of custom built water weights, each of which could be filled with 250 litres of water, provided the ideal solution for weighing down the marquee.
All of this preparation and problem solving was carried out in a cheerful and professional way.
On the big day, stallholders fed back comments to me about how helpful the marquee staff had been; assisting with additional things such as banners and last minute changes due to the wind. I would personally recommend Canterbury Marquees to others.
